5 Ways to Enjoy Spring at Home

Our #PowerPlayers are making the most of spending time at home – even during this beautiful spring weather! Here are some of the ways we are enjoying the new season while remaining inside.

Cocktail Hour
At this rate, our days are divided between coffee hours and cocktail hours. To keep ourselves from going too stir crazy we are having a little extra fun with our cocktail recipes. #PowerPlayer Catherine has been spending her quarantine days with her parents in Charleston, South Carolina, and her mom whips up the perfect, springtime cocktail that you likely have the ingredients for in your fridge and pantry!

  • 1 cup of Lemonade
  • 2 shots of Gin or Vodka (Tastes great with either of these, so take your pick)
  • 2 Fresh Basil leaves (Mint is a good substitute too if you don’t have Basil)
  • 1 Slice of Cucumber
  • Tonic Water to top it off (I recommend Fever Tree’s Indian Tonic Water)

Spring Cleaning
What better time to spring clean your apartment or house? Many of us have been spending our days organizing our closet and clearing out some items that we don’t need anymore. Need some tips? The Today Show shared the perfect five-step approach to cleaning out your closet.

 Essential Shopping
Although we are spending most of our days in lounge clothes and athleisure wear (except for when we have the occasional Zoom call), we are still online shopping for the perfect spring and summer outfits to wear once we are back in civilization. Here are some of our favorite recent finds:

We are loving this two-piece suit from Zara. Here is a link to the jacket, and the skirt is linked here. It will be perfect for client events and meetings once we are back in the office!

Fabletics came out with a new spring line full of bold and bright colors. This cobalt blue set is sure to put a pep in your step – even if it is during your at-home workout or daily walk around the neighborhood.

Everyone is dreaming of the day we can lay by the pool and enjoy summer. We are obsessed with anything lemon-printed, and Summersalt has the cutest Limoncello one piece. If you are close to a pool, beach or lake during quarantine and are able to get some sun – place an order for pick up at your local Target for a new swimsuit! They have a new line called Shade & Shore  that has some great options.

Kitchen Craze
We are a sucker for The Defined Dish. Alex Snodgrass always comes up with the best recipes that are guilt-free, and her Chicken Taco Salad recipe is easy to make with minimal ingredients. Her husband Clayton has the perfect margarita recipe to go with it as well! #PowerPlayer Anna also recommends this Salmon Poke Bowl if you are looking for a refreshing lunch or dinner.

Springtime Flicks
Switch up your daily TV time to a show or movie that features some springtime fun and florals! You’ve Got Mail is a rom-com favorite and includes New York City in peak spring season. Millennials can turn on the classic, Mean Girls, where the Spring Fling dance closes out the movie. Sex and the City The Movie is an all-time favorite among many of our #PowerPlayers. Follow Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda throughout an entire year of life which includes some springtime fashion.
