Power Picks: Our Favorite Skincare Products

Being an office full of ladies, we are always chatting about the latest skincare products and comparing our daily routines. This blog post is dedicated to our favorite products of the moment!

When people think of skincare they think of facial products, but body care is equally important! Recently I’ve been making an effort to incorporate this into my routine. At Indie Beauty Expo this year, I discovered Sanara’s Chilean Rosehip Seed Body Oil. You can apply it post-shower before you dry off and it leaves behind silky, smooth skin. I also like that the scent is pleasant and feminine but not overbearing, so it doesn’t compete with my body wash.

Fellow Power Player Julia and I recently tried the Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel at Sephora and I had to purchase it immediately! My under eyes tend to feel dry after long days of wearing make up or being out in the sun and this eye cream is like a tall glass of water for your eyes. I am obsessed and highly recommend it!

Renee Rouleau products are my go-to for any situation. Her products are categorized by 9 skin care types and customized for your skin. Personally, I love her Elderberry Soothing toner. Toner is the one step in your skincare routine that you should never miss! It’s important to note what this toner is missing however and that is alcohol. Alcohol needs to be in your cocktail glass and never in your toner!

Right now I am currently obsessed with the IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream Hydrating Moisturizer. I have been using this anti-aging moisturizer in the evening as it combats dry skin and effectively hydrates while I sleep. As a bonus, it smells wonderful and the amount provided lasts for months. I would also recommend trying out the IT Cosmetics makeup line!

There is nothing I dislike more than dry skin, whether that’s on my knees, arms or face. My holy grail skincare item is Vanicream Moisturizing Skin Cream. It is a heavy lotion that is great for people like me with sensitive, dry skin. It keeps my skin hydrated, soft and best of all it’s available on Amazon for under $20! A definite must have for the upcoming winter months!

Nothing is worse than removing your eye makeup and having lashes coming right off with it! I recently discovered Drunk Elephant’s Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser. This is my new go-to when it comes to removing makeup at the end of the day. The consistency is like coconut oil. You rub the product all over your face and eyes then mix with water and it turns into a butter! This product is not harsh and does a great job of getting every bit of your makeup off.

I always love trying out new skincare products whether it’s a a new face mask, oil or lotion! A recent skincare hack I have found especially helpful when wearing makeup every day is  Laura Mercier Infusion de Rose Nourishing Oil.  I apply the oil right after I wash my face before I begin with my makeup routine. This oil is great for keeping my skin hydrated throughout the day and prevents makeup from seeping into your pores. Another added bonus – it smells amazing! You can also apply this oil before bed and wake up with fresh, super hydrated skin the next day.
